Pausing the Tour for Health

Previously, Moore announced on social media in June that he was taking a tour hiatus. He needed this time away to focus entirely on his health.

His original June schedule included several shows opening for Riley Green. Specifically, they were touring together on the As Cowboy As It Gets Tour.

“This is the right decision for me and my family,” Moore shared in a June 8 Instagram statement. Additionally, he thanked his fans for their ongoing understanding and support. He also mentioned that he looked forward to returning to the stage later in the summer.

Justin Moore Rehab Confession on Stage

During his July 9 return, Moore finally explained his break to his fans. A concert video shared by Whiskey Riff on TikTok captured his honest confession.

“We’ve been off a while, and there was a lot of speculation,” Moore told the crowd. “My drinking got out of control.”

Furthermore, he admitted that his actions hurt the people closest to him. “I let down my band and my crew, and most importantly, God and my family,” he shared.

He then joked about a buddy who always claims he is allergic to alcohol because he breaks out in handcuffs. Fortunately, Moore avoided legal trouble, but he admitted he simply became a “complete dumbass.”

Now, the Justin Moore rehab journey has given him a fresh perspective. He wants to use his experience to guide others who might be struggling.

“I’m gonna try to help as many people from this point forward til my last days on Earth,” Moore added. Ultimately, he hopes his sobriety will set a much better example for his children.

After his emotional speech, he immediately performed his 2011 hit song, “Outlaws Like Me.” His next scheduled show is July 16 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
