Cardi B Am I The Drama Album: Release Date & Art

Cardi B Am I The Drama Album: Long-Awaited Second Project Arrives

Cardi B Am I The Drama album is finally here. The superstar rapper has announced her second album’s title, Am I the Drama? This new project comes seven years after her first hit album, Invasion of Privacy. The new album will be released on September 19.

Cardi also showed off the album’s unique cover art. It features her in a fancy red dress with two crows around her. The groundbreaking female rapper also posted a video on Instagram. In the clip, she talked about her long journey to this second album.

Cardi said, “Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, light and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now I give them hell. I learned power’s not giving, it’s taking. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your karma. The time is here. The time is now.” Her powerful words set the tone for the new music.

Features, Singles, and Personal Lyrics

Cardi had mentioned before that she was waiting for other artists’ parts before finishing the album. She said on X Spaces, “I really need these f***ing features. And it’s like I’m not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it’s like come on now! I need that! I need that right now!”

She urged them to hurry. “Helloooo! Y’all don’t want to miss this opportunity. I’ll sing this s**t myself! But I really need y’all and I need y’all to hurry up and I love y’all. I feel like nobody want to miss being on this album.” This shows the importance of collaborations for her.

Last Friday, Cardi released “Outside.” This is the first single from the upcoming album. On this song, she targeted her estranged husband, Offset. They are still working through their divorce.

On the track, she raps, “Good-for-nothing, low-down dirty dogs, I’m convinced / Next time you see your mama, tell her how she raised a b***h.” Cardi also raps, “I been cuffed up too long, let me remind n****s.” This shows her strong feelings.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper also mentions her new boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. She raps, “Favorite player from your favorite team, he in my DM, uh / I’m so small and tiny, he so big and tall / Might let him dunk this p***y like he dunk the ball.” Offset has not yet replied to the song. He released his own new song “Bodies” with JID, but it did not mention Cardi or their divorce. The arrival of the Cardi B Am I The Drama album marks a new chapter for the artist.
